Anyone who ventures to the Freo markets will recognise this guy, he is always there selling his boomerangs that actually work and flying them over everyones head in demonstrations.  I was quietly waiting for him to make eye contact while a rang was mid air, I waited for ages while the crowd was gathered and watching but he never looked my way til the end when the crowds had moved on and there were no rangs in flight but his smile makes the photo.big smiles

This is George, admiring the works of Horatio…the man behind the art behind the wall.  Anyone from Freo, or anyone who has visited Freo has probably seen this wall and possibly with the man creating this amazing art piece.

Of course it doesn’t matter what gear you use it is merely a tool and all the real work comes from within.  But I sure do like shiny new cameras, I moved the Nikon gear and Bought the new wave Sony full frame mirrorless cameras.  I have been using an amazing fully manual Zeiss Loxia 50mm f/2 lens, zone focussing and zoom to focus in the streets.  Enough rambling, here is a few shots so far.

Following on from my last post of the Photo Trek with Venture Photography, a few shots from the sunset food markets…Hot donuts

I was taking part in a photo trek around Fremantle with Venture Photography on Saturday night  There was an amazing turnout of about 80 people and street photography isn’t as easy with that many people, so off I went ahead of most of the crowd. Snapping here and there, lot of exciting things happen around Fremantle during the sunset hours.  The trek ended at the Sunset Food Markets.  The markets are basically on the beach and a wonderful area full of people, fun and food.  There was part of an old jetty still intact for recreational and historic reasons, of course it is a great place for kids to play and makes great sunset shots that I took many of and here is my favourite of many.sunset

Funny thing I was shooting some street and tasting these lovely hot-n-spicy sausages from this vendor, awesome food and VERY hot.  She clearly did not want her photo taken but at the same time she was more than happy for me to shoot the shop.  Yeah right, look at her peeking she was cook with it but just being cheeky haha….now the funny thing was a good mate Tristan Jud also came up to the stall and was snapping away, she didn’t stand a chance…and we still hung around tasting the goods, she was all good.

Fremantle is one of my favourite places, even though I don’t go there often…this fine Saturday the street markets were on in High Street, around the clock tower.  I didn’t see Michael J Fox but I did grab a few snaps.  There was plenty of s/h clothes and stuff for sale and this is where I captured this moment, I know he left with a bag of great bargains.
